CREATED 2026-09-23 by author decision, closing the scope gap the Chapter 28 audit recorded. Part VI is otherwise entirely circuit complications (31-38) and NO chapter in the book owned ischaemic stroke, intracranial haemorrhage or seizures AS complications to be managed. Ch 23 owns post-ECPR prognostication; Ch 24 owns brain death; Ch 28 owns detection and surveillance completely and currently carries acute management in §28.15 as an EXPLICITLY LABELLED STOPGAP — when this chapter is drafted, §28.15 must be reduced to a cross-reference. Numbered 38a (sort key 38.5) rather than inserted as a new 39, because Chapters 1-30 are published with cross-references throughout to Chapters 31-92 and renumbering would break every one of them. Scope when drafted: ischaemic stroke, intracranial haemorrhage, seizures and non-convulsive status, hypoxic-ischaemic injury and cerebral oedema on support — acute management, anticoagulation decisions in the bleeding brain, imaging logistics on a circuit, and escalation. Ch 28 supplies the detection layer; Ch 36 owns bleeding as a systemic problem; Ch 42 owns the anticoagulation decision.
