Audit correction: the ELSO Red Book text in the project library states '1 Fr = 3 mm', which is wrong; chapter uses the correct 3 Fr = 1 mm and flags the discrepancy. States explicitly that no randomised comparison of ECMO configurations exists. Cannula technique deferred to Ch 5/12; hybrids in depth to Ch 78; ECCO2R to Ch 53.
